The Buena Vista Social Club piano prodigy – who made the daunting task of replacing the late great Ruben Gonzalez look easy – Roberto Fonseca has now emerged as a fully fledged solo artist. His irresistible mix of euphoric energy and sparkling, melodically charged music, from his latest album Akokan (meaning ‘heart’ in the Yoruba language) effortlessly updates the Cuban jazz lineage.

Beautiful Cape Verdean singer Mayra Andrade brings a sensual sophistication to her energised take on Cuban music. Her multi-layered music embraces Brazilian inflections, funky basslines and flamenco guitars to create a heady mix of sounds. She will be presenting her new album, Storia, Storia.
